Frankie Charlie Turner “Granddaddy," 70, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m.Friday, March 22, at Turner Chapel Church Cemetery in Butler.

Mr. Turner was a native of Columbus and lived in Butler but had made his home in Milledgeville the past 25 years. As a young man he was a Golden Gloves Boxer and later managed several boxing teams. He worked in the heavy equipment and trucking industry for many years and was the overseer of Over the Top Farm in Milledgeville.

Survivors include his wife, Lunita Lorraine Turner of Milledgeville; his children, Mary Turner McCluney of Phenix City, Aa.; Sarah Leann Turner of Gainesville, Fla.; Frankie Victoria Elliott of Smith Station, Ala.; Frankie Charles Turner II of Milledgeville; Matthew Cameron Turner of Forsyth; Kimberly Wilson of Milledgeville; Elizabeth Shawn Webster of Columbus; Molly McManus of Midland and Roberta Lorriane Turner of Milledgeville; two brothers, Daniel Turner of Birmingham, Ala.; Johnney Turner of Phenix City, Ala.; a sister, Ann Hester of Cataula, Ga. He was granddaddy to 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and had a large extended family.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m.at Moores Funeral Home.
