George was born Dec. 2, 1916, in Wise County to James and Mamie Lee Ansley and was one of six children. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. George had been a Fort Worth resident for 30 years.
Survivors: Sons, Tommy Ansley of Irving, Ken Ansley of Fort Worth and James Ansley of Haltom City; daughter, Joy Romo of Haltom City; brother, Ernest Ansley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
