Partain had been a resident of Walton County for the past 4 1/2 years. He was Baptist by faith.
Partain was predeceased by his father and mother.
Partain is survived by his brother, Larry Partain and wife, Beverly of Decatur, AL; sister, Mary Elizabeth Partain, of Decartur, AL; one niece, Robin Doss; three nephews, John David Buckelew, Chris and Matt Partain. He is also survived by special great nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Hartselle, AL.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
