He owned and operated Johnny's Country Store. Mr. Andrews was a member of Grey Stone Baptist Church. He was a mason and a former member of Eno Masonic Lodge 210.
Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Johnson Andrews.
He is survived by two sons, John I. "Rusty" Andrews III and wife, Debbie, of Morrisville, Robert "Robbie" Andrews and Fran Hoffman, of Townsville; one daughter, Donna Andrews Weaver and husband, Terry, of Wake Forest; one sister, Bobbie Jean Seagroves and husband, Manning, of Durham; six grandchildren, Christy Watkins and husband, Curt, Brian Weaver and Shannon Wilcher, John R. Andrews, Kimberly Andrews, Michael Blouin and wife Debbie, Krista Thorne and husband, GySgt Michael Thorne and three great-grandchildren, John Howard Thorne, Mikayla Thorne and Hailey Blouin.
