Marjorie Ann Bryant, 71 of Danville, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Presence Covenant in Urbana. Per her wishes Marjorie will be cremated and laid to rest beside her son in Oak Hill Cemetery. Graveside services will be on Friday, February 27, 2015 at noon at Oak Hill.

Marjorie was born on March 6, 1943 in Danville to William “Ted” and Virginia (Kinney) Cox. She attended Diamond Grade School and Oakwood High School, graduating in 1961 and going on to DACC to earn her LPN license. Marjorie worked at the VA Hospital for over twenty years, retiring in the early 2000’s. She enjoyed sewing and watching wrestling, college basketball, the Olympics, and football on T.V. She was a fan of the Bears and the Colts, and loved her dogs.

Marjorie married William Bryant Sr. on December 12, 1964 in Danville and the two shared over thirty-eight years together before his death in 2003. Survivors include her son, caretaker and friend William Bryant Jr; a daughter Barbara McNeal; six grandchildren: Scott Bryant, Jennifer Bryant, William Bryant III, Jesse Bryant, Philip Bryant, and Samantha Hager; seven great grandchildren; a brother Larry (Beverly) Cox; several nieces and nephews; and a close friend Allison Perez. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Sr., a stepson: Larry; her brothers: Robert Cox, William Cox Jr., Raymond Jack, Ernie Cox, and Wilbur Cox; and her sisters: Helen White, Mary Denhart, and Patsy Yerem.
