Obituary of Theresa Miller
Le Center Leader, June 1, 1919[:CR:]

MRS. THERESA DURRENBERGER KNOWN TO MANY AS "GRANDMA"

She was born Theresa Miller (Mueller) in Wurtemberg, Germany. She came to America about 1859 to St. Paul where she married Gephart Durrenberger who died 30 April 1900. After their marriage they moved to Sibley county where they lived a number of years before going to Nicollet county and then to Le Sueur county about 1893. For the past five years she made her home in Le Center with Mrs. John Simonett II and Mrs. B. F. McCue.

She was a sturdy hard-working pioneer woman and her greatest worry in her declining years was that she would not be about and at work as in years gone by.

Children surviving are: Mrs. B. (Theresa) Hoffman, Henderson; Mrs. John (Lena) Simonett II, Le Sueur Center (Le Center); Mrs. B. F. (Mary) McCue, Le Sueur Center; Mrs. Will (Rose) Thomas, St. Peter; Anton Dirrenberger, St. Paul; Gephart Durrenberger II, Le Sueur; Joseph Durrenberger, Mankato; Theodore Durrenberger, Eccelsior; and August Durrenberger, Marshall. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery at Le Sueur, Minnesota.
