Sarah Kathleen
The couple moved to Thornton in the City of Maitland.[when?] Sarah Kathleen Folbigg was born on 14 October 1992, and died on 29 August 1993.

Sarah Folbigg
After Patrick’s death the couple moved to Thornton, northwest of Newcastle. About a year later, Kathleen was once again pregnant. Sarah Folbigg was born on the 14th of October 1992. Everything was normal for the first 11 months until Sarah was having trouble sleeping because of the cold she caught. The 29th of August at 1.30am Sarah was dead, lying in bed motionless. Craig stated the same thing happened as the last times. Kathleen woke him up by her screams of distress and he rushed in there to see her standing over the bed. Her death was recognised as SIDS.

Kathleen Megan Folbigg (née Donovan) (born 14 June 1967) is an Australian serial child killer. Folbigg was convicted of murdering her three infant children, eight-month-old Patrick Allen Folbigg, 10-month-old Sarah Kathleen Folbigg, and 19-month-old Laura Elizabeth Folbigg. Folbigg was also convicted of the manslaughter of a fourth child, Caleb Gibson Folbigg, aged 19 days. The murders took place between 1991 and 1999, coming to an end only when her husband discovered her personal diary, which detailed the Killings.

Folbigg's trial lasted seven weeks. The prosecution alleged Folbigg murdered her four children by smothering them in periods of frustration. During a jury replay of Folbigg's police interview, she attempted to run from the court room.

Verdict
On 21 May 2003, Folbigg was found guilty by the Supreme Court of New South Wales jury of the following crimes: three counts of murder, one count of manslaughter and one count of maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm. On 24 October 2003, Folbigg was sentenced to 40 years' imprisonment with a non-parole period of 30 years.
