Sharon K Griffith Tate was born on September 20, 1951 in Coles Co IL, the daughter of Carl E and Alberta Bright Griffith. On November 21, 1972 she married Kenneth D Tate. Sharon spent her life as a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of the Central Christian Church of Newton. Sharon was active in the Jasper County Cancer Support Group and volunteered her time at the Master's Hand in Newton.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth D Tate; Son Ryan Tate and wife Maranda of Newton; daughter Amanda Roberts and husband Shawn of Toledo IL Grandchildren Alissa Veach, Brittany Veach, Drew and Reagan Tate; brothers Carl Griffith and wife Judy and Johnny Griffith and wife Verna, both of Newton; several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, son Kevin, daughter Karen Tate; brother Jim Griffith and three infant siblings preceded her in death.
