During World War II, Dee worked in factories that assisted the war front efforts. She also worked at the Jewish Children's Home and spent summers working at Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park as a hotel worker.
Dee Rumpf was united in marriage to Raymond Kral in August 1944. Dee and Ray owned and operated Remer Drug from 1947 until 1996. Dee and Ray loved to travel. They enjoyed hunting wild turkeys in southern Minnesota and they traveled to Alaska, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Dee was an expert gardener and had a special love for flowers and made many flower arrangements for the church and other local activities. She was one of the founders of the Remer Garden Club and was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Remer. Her life was centered on her family and family celebrations were very dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, and her son, Ray Allen.
Dee is survived by her daughters: Raymone Barbara Kral and Nancy (Floyd) Schmitz; and grandson, Francis Schmitz.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Remer, MN.
