Lance Cpl. Ryan J. Nass, 21, of Franklin, Wis.; was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; He died Sept. 3 of a non-hostile gunshot wound at Camp Blessing, Afghanistan. His awards include the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and National Defense Service Medal. He is survived by a wife. He was 21.
