Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Mt. Pleasant Second-Third Ward Chapel for tiny Leslie Wolverton, the three-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Wolverton of Salt Lake City. The baby was found dead in her crib about 9:10 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 1965, by her mother, the former Susan Pritchett of Mt. Pleasant.

Police were notified but attempts at resuscitation in-route to the hospital were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at the hospital at 9:25 a.m. She was apparently the victim of suffocation. Leslie Wolverton was born May 22, 1965, in Salt Lake City to James and Susan Monsen Wolverton.

Surviving are her parents, a sister and a brother, Tracy Sue and Michael, Salt Lake City; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wolverton, Mountain Lake, Minnesota, and Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Pritchet, Mt. Pleasant.

Glen Hardy, bishop of the Second Ward, conducted the services. Prayer at the mortuary was by Lynn Poulsen; prelude and postlude music at the chapel was by Ethel Ericksen; invocation, Lloyd Terry; violin solo, Mary Lyle Petersen accompanied by Rhoda Drage who accompanied all other musical numbers; vocal solo, Alice Hafen; speaker, Grant Johansen; organ solo, Evelyn Terry; remarks, Frank Lee Pritchett; remarks, Bishop Hardy; vocal duet, Pearl Winkler and Ina Jones; benediction, Sheldon Monsen.

Burial was in the Mount Pleasant City Cemetery directed by the Jacobs Mortuary. Stephen Monsen dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Dale Shelton, Frank Warburton, Lynn Poulsen and Lloyd Terry.
