WATERBURY — Margret L. Affhauser, 79, of 32 Academy Ave., passed suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Affhauser was the devoted wife of Mr. Robert E. Affhauser for 35 years, and the beloved mother of three children, William C. Jackson, Richard G. Knox and Anna M. Difrisco, all of Waterbury.

Mrs. Affhauser was born May 12, 1935, in Cold spring, N.Y., and moved to Waterbury in 1964 and was a longtime resident in the city.

Mrs. Affhauser worked many years as a companion helping people in the city where she was known for helping all races of people who needed a helping hand.

Left to cherish her loving memory, in addition to her three children, are a grandson, Jose Abraham, and a great-grandson, Isaac Gonzalez, both of Waterbury, and many other family members and friends. Mrs. Affhauser was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mario Difrisco.

A celebration of her life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Petteway Family Funeral Service, 116 East Farm St., Waterbury, with the family arriving at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow the celebration service in All Saints Cemetery, 203 Spring Lake Road, Waterbury.
