Sue Jean Anderson Brooks, 78, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2015 in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho.

Sue was born on August 27, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Irvin Anderson and Dixie Doolittle. She graduated from Rowan Private High School for girls in Salt Lake City, Utah and went on to obtain a degree from Utah State University. After college she married and moved to Warminster, Pennsylvania and began a family. After retirement Sue moved to her ranch in Lava Hot Springs with her horses.

She was a supporter of the Humane Society, and a member of the NRA. She was also on the Horse Drill Team in college.

Sue was an avid equestrian and loved Arabian Horses. She loved to fish and was a rock hunter, searching out precious stones.

The family would like to thank her dear friend Dinah Daa who was her caretaker for the last several years.

Sue is survived by her children: Vicki Brooks Strand, Doylestown, PA; George Brooks, Ruther Glen, VA; & Cindie McPhee, Granger, IN; she is also survived by brother; Gary, and wife Denise, of Sandy, Utah and sister, Dixie, and husband Tom, Nelson of Carvalis, OR; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Terri Brooks.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1st 2015 at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant 211 E. Main Street in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations in her honor to the Humane Society. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home 211 W.
