Hannah Weldon, the youngest of Louisa and James Weldon's children, was a tiny blond, pretty. Some writers say she was born the year before her mother's death. Others say Louisa died at the time of Hannah's birth. Hannah and James had no children. They lived in Alvin, TX the last years of their lives. This was quite a distance from the rest of the family, and many of her nieces and nephews didn't get to know her, though she sometimes sent them gifts or letters. Jimmie, her youngest 1/2 brother seemed to have been especially fond of his "sister Hannah" and tried to visit her each winter in Alvin where it was warm.
