Services for James Harry Braxley will be at 2 pm today in Moores Funeral Home, with burial in Baldwin Memorial Gardens. Mr. Braxley, 85, died Thursday in a local hospital. A lifelong resident of Milledgeville, he was a retired employee of the Central State Hospital Police Department. He was employed at the Union Recorder for more than 38 years and at the Milledgeville Fire Department for than 20 years. He was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife Mildred M. Braxley, son Harry Nick Braxley of Milledgeville, and sister, Bessie Parker of Milledgeville.
