Our loving mother, grandmother and sister, Lydia Draper Rowley, passed away January 5, 1998.
She was born May 13, 1915 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Edward Clifton and Wilhelmina Christensen Draper. She married Wilbert Rowley February 21, 1935. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Lydia was active in the LDS Church. She held many positions and served for many years in the ward and stake primary organization. She also served in Relief Society and as a visiting teacher.
She was a loving and giving person who spent her life in the service of others, especially in caring for her children and grandchildren. All who knew her and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Alden Christensen, Max Draper and Floyd Draper. She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years; daughter, Kathy (Darrell) Barnes and sons, Vance Rowley, Robert (Carol) Rowley and Keith Rowley; brother, Bob Draper; four sisters, Eunice Longson, Nell (Dawn) Hance Judd, Opal (Kay) Sheridan, and Faye Brotherson; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 10, 1998 at 11 a.m. at the Rosepark 10th Ward, 760 North 1200 West. Friends may call Friday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the ward Saturday one hour prior. Interment, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
