John was just 16 days shy of his 65th birthday when he passed away, at his home on Jervis Street, from a stroke.
He was born in Birmingham, Warwickshire to David & Henrietta Aaron. In May 1909 he joined the Territorial Force Association and was assigned to the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, 8th Battalion (Regimental #: 946). His military folder shows he participated in Annual Training with the Regiment for three years before asking for a transfer due to Business Obligations. He was transferred to the 25th (C of L) Cyclist Battalion in London. He was discharged on 01 Aug 1912.
In the 1911 England Census, John is listed as an Insurance Accountant.
He immigrated to Canada, after a stint in the Philippines, in June 1950. When he passed away, he had been working as an Accountant for the B.C. Collateral Loan Co for only one month.
