Joan Bradford, age 71, of Trussville, AL passed away on Saturday February 21, 2015. She was a former resident of McCalla, AL and Panama City Beach, FL Joan graduated from Winfield High School in 1961. She was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church of Panama City Beach, FL and former member of Huffman Baptist and Tannehill Valley Baptist Church. She was a member of the American Legion Post 171 for 37 years, 40/8 LeFemnen and the Red Hat Society of Pinnacle Point. She worked as manager for Department of Human Resources collection at Altec Inc. and later became the manager of Department of Collections. She retired from Altec after 29 years of service. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Scott Bradford; daughter, Cynthia Bowers (Joseph); mother, Eardeal Couch; sisters, Nancy Long (Roy) and Jean Eads (Bobby); grandchildren, Scott Bowers and Maggie Bowers. She was preceded in death by her father, Presley “Red” Couch and grandson, Will Bowers. Visitation will be on Wednesday February 25th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Chapel at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 25th with burial immediately following at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Minister James Long is officiating.
