She attended Topsham and Brunswick schools graduating from Brunswick High School in 1940. She married Herman C. Douglas of Topsham on September 28, 1940, with the Rev. Robert Stuart officiating.
Anna was a member of the Topsham United Baptist Church where she was known as the White Elephant Table Lady. In 1967 she began volunteering for the Thrift Shop at Mid Coast Hospital and received a pin for over 100 volunteer hours served. She was a member of the "Biggest Bucks of Maine", President of the Riverview Cemetery Association, and Vice President of Merrymeeters from 1986-1987. She enjoyed fishing and collecting playing cards.
She is survived by three children, Richard Herman of Lisbon Falls, Kenneth Lincoln of Topsham, and Mrs. Emile H. Caron (Sandra Lynn) of Brunswick, 6 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandchildren and one Great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 18 from 6-8PM at Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 19 at 1PM with the Rev. Ronald McLaughlin officiating. Burial in Riverview Cemetery, Topsham will be at a later date.
