Ada Marie Austin, 85, of Lynn passed away early Sunday morning, Feb. 22,2015 at Randolph Nursing Home of Winchester. She was born June 24,1929 in Memphis, TN the daughter of Clarence and Ada L.(Collins) Runyen.

Marie was a member of the Delta Theta Tau Sorority for more than 20 years and also belonged to the Senior Citizens of Lynn. She loved being a homemaker for her family. She felt blessed to be a mother, grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed shopping, home décor and had a special love of flowers.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Linda Austin of Richmond; three sons, Kenneth David Barnes of Tuscumbia, AL., Thomas J. (wife: Tina) Austin of Lynn and Gary L. (wife: Crystie) Austin of Winchester; a brother, Billy (wife: Carolyn) Runyen of Jacksonville, FL: ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. Austin; a daughter-in-law, Heather L. Austin; and a grandchild.

A service to celebrate Marie's life will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27,2015 at Thomas Memorial Chapel in Lynn, with Ray Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Park Cemetery in Winchester. Family and friends may gather to share and remember from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26,2015 at the funeral home.
