KINSTON | Shirley D. Grady, 78, of Kinston, went to her eternal home on Friday, February 20, 2015. She was surrounded by her family as she took her final breath. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Shirley was a member of First P.H. Church in Kinston. She loved The Lord more than anything. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Christabelle Daniels, 10 brothers and sisters and her son-n-law, Geldon R. Harper. Survivors include a special friend, Harold Lewis; her daughters, Pam Harper of Pink Hill, Terry Norville of Kinston, Donna McNeill of Swansboro and husband, Eddie, and Kelly Hunt Dilday of Kinston; sister, Myrtle Manning of Goldsboro; six grandchildren; Tim Davis, wife Sam, Bryan Harper, wife Trisha, Ashton Blakenship, husband JP, Nikki Hayes, husband Neal, Hunter Eubanks and Hallie Dilday; eight great-grandchildren, along with a special cousin, Irene Daughety, and two special loved ones, Karen Eubanks and Scarlett Scott. Shirley will be truly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2015, at First P.H. Church in Kinston. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. after visitation. A burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pinelawn Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to First P.H. Church in Kinston. Howard-Carter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
