Staff Sgt. Emmanuel L. Legaspi, 38, of Las Vegas, Nev., died of injuries sustained in Tal Afar, Iraq when his unit came under enemy small arms fire during combat operations. He was a Nevada resident for one year. Emmanuel is survived by his wife, Shona Legaspi; daughter, Carmen Legaspi, both of Germany; mother, Victoria Legaspi of Las Vegas; father, Serafin Legaspi; daughter, Marinelle Legaspi, both of the Philippines; sisters, Maria Bautista and Elizabeth Legaspi; and brothers, Michael and Abraham Legaspi.
