Jerry "Gabby" Elmore passed away on May 6, 2006 in Whitney.

Jerry was the son of William Jerry and Fannie Lee {Gray}Elmore.

He attended Northside High School in Ft. Worth before joining the United States Marines where he served fron 1960 to 1964. After returning from service he worked for Old American Roofing Company in Ft. Worth. On April 15, 1964 he became disabled due to an auto accident. Jerry has been a resident of Whitney since 1977.

He was a member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Whitney.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers, and one daughter, Julie Rene Chandler.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Huff of Dallas; brothers, Jessy Elmore and wife, Ineta of Whitney, Rickey Elmore and wife, Jan of Fort Worth; sister, Jolene Franklin and husband, Travis of Whitney; sister-in-law, Joyce Elmore of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Maris and Mark; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
