J.F. Jones Service Will Be Friday At Nazarene Church
Services will be at 2:30 Friday for J.G. Jones, 90, who died in a Carnegie hospital early Wednesday after a brief illness. He had been a resident of the Cowden, Mountain View and Carnegie communities for 40 years.

Rev. O.W. Eudaley, former Carnegie pastor, will come here from Emporia, Kan., to conduct the services in the Church of the Nazarene and will be assisted by Rev. M.J. Kersten, Carnegie pastor. Burial will be in the Elmwood southwest of Carnegie.

John Franklin Jones was born in Denton county, Texas, June 30, 1860, Mr. Jones was married to Miss Lucinda Strickland Jan. 1, 1880, at Pilot Point, Texas. To them 11 children were born.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones were pioneer settlers in the old Indian territory and lived for a number of years at Tupelo in Coal county. They came to western Oklahoma in 1910. Mrs. Jones died Aug. 17, 1939, and he has since made his home in Carnegie, living in the home of Mr,. and Mrs. E.E. Berkley. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and has been active in the work of the Church of the Nazarene and has been active in the work of the church here. He retained a keen interest in state and national affairs.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. J.S. Collins, Albuquerque, N.M.: Mrs. C.M. Sloan, Mountain View; Mrs. C.A. Campbell, Weatherford, and Mrs. Jesse Zimmerman, Carnegie, all of whom will be here for the services. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
