Mrs. Charline Carney

Mrs. Charline Carney, 64, Rt. 2, Monticello, died Tuesday afternoon at White County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born August 24, 1904, she was the daughter of Jacob and Nellie Alice Taylor Raub. Her marriage October 2, 1927, was to Dr. John C. Carney who preceded her in death in 1962.

She was a member of the Monticello Presbyterian Church, Tri Kappa Sorority, Fortnightly Club, Doctor's Auxiliary, and White County Mental Health Association. She was a medical worker at Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis and Presbyterian Hospital in New York. She recently retired from the staff of Logansport State Hospital.

Surviving are a son, John C. Carney Jr., of Chicago, a sister, Mrs. Howard Williams of Kokomo and two nieces, Mrs. Michael Adair of Indianapolis and Mrs. George Nakamura of Honolulu.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. this afternoon, Thursday, at Autenberg Funeral Home in Monticello where friends may call. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
