Mrs. Tilford Collins, 92, died at Citizens General Hospital Friday after a long illness. Memorial services will be at Ridgecrest Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Bob Hamilton and Rev. Eddie Smith officiating.

Born Aug. 10, 1893 in Oklahoma Indian Territory, Mrs. Collins was the daughter of pioneer Greenville residents Mr. and Mrs. John M. Carsey. She was preceded in death of March of 1968 by her husband, Tilford Collins, Greenville civic leader and president of Collins-Hilton Furniture Co.

Mrs. Collins was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Tilford Collins Jr. of Manistee, Mi.; a daughter, Mrs. Wilburn Hilton of Greenville; grandchildren Jennifer Hilton of Austin, Dee Hilton of Greenville, Mrs. Terry McNamara of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Richard Strzyewski of Niles, Mi., and Tilford Collins III of Grand Rapids, Mi.; sisters, Mrs. Lester Totsch of Greenville and Mrs. Jack LaRoe of McKinney; a brother, Eban (sic) Carsey of Greenville; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brother (sic) and two sisters.

Memorials may be made to charity or the organ fund at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Hilton, 2315 Holsum Cr. and at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

Memorial services for Mrs. Tilford Collins, 2400 Park, will be at 2 p.m. today at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Hamilton and Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery with Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Collins died Friday afternoon at Citizens General Hospital.
