Louis T. Wilkins Sr., 47, of the 6200 block of Hightower Road, died October 29, 1998, on Route 164 Western Freeway, Portsmouth. He was born in Portsmouth.

He is survived by two daughters, Nicole A. Harris of Hinesville, Ga., and Melanie C. Wilkins of Portsmouth; two sons, Louis T. Wilkins Jr. and Marquis S. Williams, both of Portsmouth; his father, Claibon Wilkins of Portsmouth; two sisters, Celia Broady of Suffolk and Lydia Burkett of Chesapeake; four brothers, William Scales of Portsmouth, Joseph Scales of New Orleans, Dallas Scales of New York, and Peter Scales of Florida; three grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends; and a very special friend, Sylvia Perry.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. D.A. Peace. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth.
