In Memoriam
Edward Baker aged 74 years, died at the Champlain Valley Hospital, Feb.19 following an illness of about seven years.
Although his suffering was great and his years numbered many, all that loving hands could do was done, hoping that he be among his loved ones once more, but the time had come when he could be with them no more. Om Sunday morning news came that he had passed into the great beyond.
Less than a year ago the Death Angel silently entered and took from him his beloved wife and for more than fifty years a faithful partner, and since that time joy on earth for him was no more.
The funeral was held at the R.C. Church W. Chazy and he was laid to rest beside his wife in a little lot which he had prepared for their resting place.
He will be greatly missed by his family for his constant hope was for their interest and welfare.
He was a true Christian always trusting in him who doeth all things well.
He leaves to morn his loss five children, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, but to these will come the bright hope of future meeting where peace and comfort reign not only for fifty years but for eternal life.
