Milton Wayne Williamson, 76, passed to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 13, 2015.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church, 6664 Rock Ridge School Road, Sims, NC 27880 with the Reverend Ray Wells officiating. A visitation will immediately follow the memorial service.
Wayne served in the Army National Guard for 15 years. He was a member of Marsh Swamp Original FWB Church. Family and friends were always his priority. In addition his garden, fishing, NCSU football, Carolina Hurricanes hockey games, and daily breakfast with his buddies at Denny's brought him much joy and happiness.
There was an especially dear spot in "Papa's" heart for his grandchildren: Bridgette, Matthew, Bradley and Kyle.
He is survived by his wife, Susan E. Williamson; son, Russell Wayne and Mary Dell Williamson of Wilson, and David Kyle and Angie Williamson of Raleigh; grandchildren: Matthew, Bradley, Bridgette and Kyle; sisters: Becky Proctor and husband, Dwight, and Kathy Howell and husband, Jerry, both of Wilson; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marsh Swamp Original FWB Church in memory of M. Wayne Williamson.
