Simon W. Minsker 84, of Harrisburg died, Thursday, February 19, 2015, at Pinnacle Health-Community Campus.

Mr. Minsker was born in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Simon and Florence (Straining) Minsker. He was retired from Amp where he was a Purchaser. Before AMP he was a city bus driver for Harrisburg Railways and after AMP a tour bus driver for Wolf Bus Lines. He was a member of Hershey Italian Lodge, the Robert H. Hoke American Legion Post 272, of Linglestown and Calvary United Methodist Church. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the U.S. Army.

Mr. Minsker was the widower of Patricia G. Minsker, who died on December 5, 2014.

Mr. Minsker is survived by his daughters, Karen (Rick) Miller, Patricia A. (John) Packer and Shari (Steve) Pichini all of Harrisburg; his sons, Scott (Nancy) Minsker and Timothy (Danylle) Minsker, Sr. both of Harrisburg; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at 11 A.M.,at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 4700 Locust Lane, Harrisburg. The Rev. S. Ronald Parks will be officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the convenience of the family, with Full Military Honors.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M., and on Wednesday from 10-11 A.M. at the church, prior to the service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, Food Pantry, 4700 Locust Lane, Harrisburg, Pa. 17109.

Arrangements are by the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Harrisburg.
