Frank Weishaupt was born 30 June 1892 in Buffalo, NY to parents Casper Jacob Weishaupt from Malsch, Baden, Germany and Martha Amalie Belz from Thomsdorf, Brandenburg, Germany.

Hattie Schlienz was born March 1893 in Buffalo, NY to parents Friedrick Wilhelm Schlienz from Zuffenhausen, Württemberg, Germany and Carolina Kunigunda Gaiser from Baiersbronn, Württemberg, Germany. Her given name was a combination from both her grandparents Henry Gaiser and Sophia Hoyer.

Frank was raised Catholic and changed to Lutheran. Frank, at 70 Wood Street, and Hattie grew up just six blocks from each other in Buffalo. His parents were born in Malsch, Germany and the family was a member of the St. Cyriak Catholic Church. They were originally from Stupferich. He was originally named Franz Karl as recorded in original notes by his father Caspar, but was later known as Frank Vincent.

Hattie and family lived at 61 St. Joseph Avenue. Her father was from Vaihingen and Zuffenhausen, Germany, just 65 kilometers from the Weishaupt family in Malsch. They were members of the Johannes Evangelische Kirche of Zuffenhausen. Her mother's family was a member of the Evangelische Kirche of Baiersbronn.

Frank's mother, Martha, died in 1896 when he was 4 years old.

Frank started with the railroad in 1904 at the age of 12 and worked as a machinist inspector and then later painted the floral decorations inside Pullman cars at the Pullman Shop. In the early years he also worked for New York Central(NYC).

Frank Weishaupt and Hattie Schlienz were married in 1913 in Buffalo, NY. Son Frank Jr. was born in 1914. He died the same year. Son, Bob, was born 4 Jun 1915. Hattie's mother, Kuni, died 24 Jan 1917. Son, Dick, was born 15 Feb 1917.

The June 5, 1917 draft registration recorded Frank living at 79 St. Joseph Street in Buffalo, which was almost next door to the home of Hattie's parents. He was working as a machinist with the NY Central Rail Road in Gardenville and was married with 2 children.

The 1920 NY Erie County census recorded Frank and family living at 91 Blake Street in Buffalo; Frank V. was working as a railroad machinist, age 27, born NY; Henrietta, age 27, born NY; Robert 4 yr 6 mo., NY and Richard 2 yr 10 mo., NY.

After the big railroad strike in 1922 he moved the family to Bakersfield, California to work on William Schlienz's (Hattie's dad) walnut farm. When they got there, William had left for Buffalo, so Frank took a job with the railroad out there until 1925.

The Bakersfield California, City Directory, 1924 & 1925, listed Frank V. a machinist at SPCo living at 624 Monterey. Southern Pacific Company ("SPCo."), was a common carrier by railroad operating in California, Oregon, Nevada, Utah and four other states.

On returning to Buffalo they moved into a house that Aunt Bertie and Uncle Joe Schlienz were living in and was owned by William Schlienz. It was located in Milgrove out Genesee Street (route 33) near Crittenden.

Frank's father, Casper, died in 1925.

The 1930 NY Erie County census recorded Frank and family living in Buffalo; Frank V. age 37, born NY, Henrietta S. age 37, NY, Robert F. 14 yr, NY and Richard W. 13, NY.

The 1940 NY Erie County Buffalo census recorded the Weishaupt family: Frank a machinist on the steam railroad age 47, Henrietta age 47, Robert 24 a laborer on the steam railroad. They reported having previously lived in Derby, NY in 1935.

Hattie's father, William, died on 19 April 1947. Hattie died on 25 September 1953 in Buffalo. Frank died 27 June 1965 in Buffalo.

Frank and Hattie were buried in Acacia Park & Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 4215 North Tonawanda, NY 14120 phone 716-692-0511 (Section P, #S122, graves 2 & 3).

In 1996, their son Dick placed a memorial stone on the grave of his father and mother. The first inscription was an error by Acacia Park - Frank (W). A short time later this was corrected by Acacia Park to - Frank (V).
