The marriage of Miss Evelyn Blake and Mr. Clarence Sweeney was solemnized in the Catholic Church at Holy Cross at 7 o’clock Wednesday morning. Rev. Father Nagle officiated and also celebrated the nuptial mass. The bride was attired in a gown of white embroidery, which was trimmed with baby Irish lace. Her bridal veil was hastened with a band of pearls and she carried a shower arrangement of brides’ roses. The bridal couple was unattended. A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Blake, only the immediate relatives being present.

Mrs. Sweeney is one of Holy Cross popular young lady who has endeared herself to many friends. Mr. Sweeney is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sweeney, also of this place. He is an industrious young farmer and is held in high esteem by all who know him. After a short bridal trip they will reside on a farm near Holy Cross. They have the best wishes of a host of friends.
