Born in Hart County on August 13, 1917, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Mary Lou Owens Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of the Flat Shoals Baptist Church.
Mrs. Pearson was preceded in death by her husband, Jim William Pearson; a daughter, Glenda Pearson; brothers, James, Calvin, Ira, Ed and George Allen; and sisters, Pearl Phillips, Loyce Jordan and Leila Bell Funkhouser.
Survivors include sons, the Rev. Loyd Pearson, Social Circle, and Thurston Pearson, Hartwell; a daughter, Gail Pearson, Hartwell; brothers, Charles Lee Allen, Anderson, S.C., and Louise Roper, Williamston; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 3, in the chapel of Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Hood officiating. Burial was at Flat Shoals Baptist Church cemetery. Pruitt Funeral Home, Royston, was in charge of arrangements.
