Glenn H. Stauffer, 80, formerly of Crest Avenue, died of natural causes Wednesday at Landis Homes Lititz.
Stauffer was a self-employed building contractor and worked with his father and brother at W. W. Stauffer & Sons.
A U. S. Navy veteran, he served as an electrician's mate third class during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of Calvary Monument Bible Church, Kinzers, where he served as an usher.
Stauffer was a life member of Lafayette Fire Company, where he served as a fire policeman and fire police captain for 27 years. He was named 1990 Fireman of the Year.
He enjoyed gardening and taking summer missions trips to Alaska.
After retirement, he enjoyed building Pennsylvania long rifles and spending time at his Franklin County cabin.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Walter W. and Elida Hall Stauffer.
His wife, Elva Heisey Stauffer, died in 1994.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda J., married to Kevin M. Imgrund of Lititz, and Diane L., married to Tod R. Herr of Holtwood; six grandchildren; a brother, Donald H., married to Gail Stauffer of Lititz; and a sister, Nila E., married to Donald Weaver of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray H. and Walter W.
Funeral East Bethany Chapel at Landis Homes; interment in Erisman Mennonite Cemetery.
