Mrs. Virginia Dare Parsons, age 78, of Wilkesboro, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Avante at Wilkesboro. She was born October 10, 1936 in Wilkes County to Auburn and Bertha Spears Parsons. Mrs. Parsons was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are three brothers, Jackie Parsons, Millers Creek, Caster Parsons of Huntersville, Freeland Hal Parsons of Wilkesboro; and two sisters, Nadine Anderson of Rural Hall, Christine Shepherd of Wilkesboro.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 o’clock Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Miller Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rick Faw officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 1:00 until 2:00 o’clock on Sunday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
