Wid Henry Nance, Sr., 90, of 2086 Whites Memorial Rd., Franklinville, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

Funeral Services, 3:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Whites Memorial Baptist Church, Franklinville.

Officiating, Rev. Jeff Joyce.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard.

He was a native of Randolph County, a WWII Navy Veteran, a retired Maintence Engineer with Champagne Dye Works, and attended Whites Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph A. and Annie Belle York Nance, wife, Violet York Nance, brothers, Jessie Nance, Charlie Nance, Gurney Nance, sister, Ollie Woodell.

Survivors: daughter, Melinda Beth Nance Garner, and husband, Steve, of Asheboro, Anita J. Nance, of Kinston, sons, Wid Henry "Bud" Nance Jr., and wife, Sue, of Asheboro, Joseph Kent Nance, and wife, Kristle, of Franklinville, sister, Bernice Smith, of Asheboro, brothers, James Nance, and wife, Dot, of Asheboro, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren.
