William Jefferson Hogue, age 85 of Kensett, died Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in Searcy. He was born July 30, 1929 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He retired from AP&L (Entergy) after working 47 years and attended First United Pentecostal Church in Judsonia. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, and good friend to all who knew him and will be dearly missed by all.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Martha Hogue; six sons, Jeffrey Hogue, Christopher Hogue, Jeffrey Lawson, James Lawson, Jerry Lawson, Jonathan Lawson; one daughter, Cynthia Lawson; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Hogue of Jonesboro, AR; Ray Hogue of Saulsbury, MO; and one sister Kay Hogue Cooper of Saulsbury, TN.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, David Hogue; one sister, Mildred Brown; and two brothers Floyd Hogue and Carlos Hogue.

Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home Chapel With interment to follow at Henderson Cemetery at Pangburn. Arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy.
