Cecil H. Cooper

Cecil H. Cooper, 92, widower of Lillian Cooper since 1984, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Feb. 19. He was a native of Jessamine County born March 12, 1922, to the late Dewey Stanley and Nettie Ann Jackson Cooper. He leaves his memories with his four children Cecil Ray Cooper wife Linda, Robert Michael Cooper wife Barbara, Phillip Stanley Cooper, wife Dianna, and Julie Cooper Wells, husband Chris, grandchildren Jennell Clem, Scott Cooper wife Kim, Timothy Cooper wife Melanie, Anthony Cooper wife Cathy, Brandon Cooper and Kyle Adams wife Danielle , 8 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren, as well as sisters Juanita Morgan, and Betty Humphrey, husband Cecil “June”, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Christy Hildebrand, sister Christine Todd, and grandson-in-law Harold “Rusty” Clem. He was a member of Mt Freedom Church and an avid, dedicated fisherman. A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM Monday, Feb. 23, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Hildebrand officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring him as pallbearers will be his grandchildren: Jennell, Scott, Timothy, Anthony, Brandon, and Kyle. The family will greet friends from 2 to 5 PM Sunday, Feb. 22, at the funeral home. Donations to Hospice of the Bluegrass may be made in his memory. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Cooper family.
