An 11:00 a.m. funeral service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Ray Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mark Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Knollhurst Cemetery.
A Rockingham County native, Glenn was born August 16, 1939, the son of Roy Woodrow Duncan and Esther Throckmorton Duncan.
He attended Clear Springs and Wilson Primitive Baptist Churches.
Glenn retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad with 22 years of service. Previously, he worked for The Coca Cola Bottling Company in Mayodan. He was proud to be a US Air Force veteran serving from 1958-1962.
Glenn played base guitar with several Country and Rock & Roll Bands during his lifetime.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his son, Charles Glenn Duncan; two sisters: Margaret Joyce and Patricia Richardson; brother, Ronnie Duncan.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathy Williams Duncan of the home; two children: Karen Duncan of Madison and Travis Lee Duncan and wife, Ashleigh of Salisbury; five grandchildren: Torri Blankenship and husband, Matt of Thomasville, Jesse Duncan of Madison, Nathaniel Lee Southern of Danbury, Addison and Kaytlyn Duncan of Salisbury; three great-grandchildren: Jeremy Griffin, Chloe Griffin and Luna Blankenship; three sisters: Mildred Taylor of Pine Hall, Gail Smith and husband, Roscoe of Pine Hall, Wanda K. Tilley and husband, Robert of Madison; brother, Gary Duncan and wife, Martha of Lawsonville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2015 at Ray Funeral Home in Madison and other times at Mr. Duncan’s home.
