Terry Wayne Michael, 64, of Olathe, Kansas passed away at home on Tuesday, February 17, 2015. He will forever be remembered as a devoted father, loving grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to everyone he met.
Terry was born on January 23,1951 in Olathe, Kansas to Carl Franklin and Betty Ruth (Sullivan) Michael. He attended and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. He worked as a warehouseman for Vertis Communications. He was a dedicated member of The Gathering Place Charismatic Church – Assembly of God where he spent most of his time communicating with others through his devotional readings from the bible. Most importantly, were the times he spent with his family. He will be sadly missed.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Betty Michael, sister Judy K. Smith, brother Larry F. Michael and brother-in-law Rick Cooksey. He is survived by his son Brian A. Michael of Gardner, Kansas, brother Kelly E. Michael of Gardner, Kansas, two sisters Carlene R. Barringer and her husband Dennis of Dover, Tennessee and Sheila M. Cooksey of Kansas City, Kansas. Left behind to cherish his memory are his two grandchildren: Sam Michael and Annabelle Michael along with several nieces and nephews.
Terry will be cremated according to his wishes. A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28th at The Gathering Place Charismatic Church – Assembly of God 16515 W. 127th Street Olathe, Kansas 66062.
