Edna Wilkerson Parks-May, 90, formerly of Greenwood, SC, wife of the late Rufus A. May, Sr., died February 18, 2015 at the Sunrise Senior Living Center in Cary, NC.

She was the daughter of the late John Edgar and Pauline Norrell Wilkerson of Abbeville, SC.

Mrs. Parks-May was a graduate of Abbeville High School and completed a training course in Business. She formally managed the Seaboard Railroad Credit Union of Abbeville, retired from Abbeville Savings and Loan and after retirement, volunteered with the Abbeville County Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church in Greenwood and formally a member of Abbeville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Parks-May will be remembered as a dedicated homemaker and for her love of family and community.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William L. Parks, Sr. and a daughter, Linda Parks Gaffney.

Mrs. Parks-May is survived by two daughters, Lana P. Martin and her husband, Steve of Minot, ND and Lisa P. Ferrell of Cary, NC; a son, William L. Parks, Jr. and his wife Candy of Albany, GA; two sisters, Emily W. Kimsey of Abbeville, SC and Carolyn W. Reichard of Greensboro, NC; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:30PM to 2:30PM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 3:00PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayne Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those desiring may make donations to South Main Street Baptist Church, 1000 S. Main St., Greenwood, SC 29646; Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646; or Abbeville First Baptist Church, 111 Ellis Ave., Abbeville, SC 29620.
