She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James A Bible.
Catherine was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn. While in school she was selected to Who's Who in Colleges and Universities and was President of the Panhellinic Association. Following graduation and marriage she worked as an executive secretary to a Defense Department company in Washington D.C. and later in the same capacity in Knoxville, Tenn.
She was an active tennis player and golfer and continuously involved in the sports endeavors of her four children. She was an avid bridge player and served in her church as a youth Sunday school volunteer.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Sharp of the home, a sister, Cecilia Lingerfelt (husband Jim) of Morristown, Tenn., and four children; Laurenn Disspayne (husband David and children William and Catherine) of Nashville, Tenn.; Brian Sharp (wife Margaret and children Meredith and Cameron) of Blacksburg, Va.; Chris Sharp (wife Christine) of Charlotte, N.C.; Stephan Sharp (wife Caitland and children Sadie and Crew) of Franklin, Tenn.
Burial will be a private family graveside service.
