Wilma Noreen West, resident of Ponca City, passed away February 19, 2015 in Ponca City. She was 92.

She will be available for viewing from 5-8 P.M. on Saturday and 1-8 P.M. on Sunday at the Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Grace Tabernacle of Praise, 1601 East Coleman Road with Reverend Terry Tramel officiating.

Casket bearers will be Kevin Yerkes, Mark Womack, Boscoe Womack, Berry Tramel, Kerry Tramel, and Chris Womack.

Burial will then follow at the Resthaven Memorial Parks in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory.

Wilma was born on January 31, 1923 to Samuel D. Womack and Hazel Mae Lohden Womack in Lexington, OK. She was raised in Lexington, graduating from High School there in 1941.

After high school, she attended classes at Oklahoma University.

After meeting him at church, on June 20, 1951, she married James West in Pauls Valley. They later moved to Ponca City in 1954 after he began working for the Continental Oil Company.

Wilma later began working at the Howard's Discount store, where she worked for 20 years as a personnel manager before retiring in 1984.

Wilma had many talents, including sewing, cooking, singing, and playing the piano and organ. She also enjoyed traveling and watching OU sports teams perform.

Another great passion in her life was her faith. She had a strong faith from her childhood and thoroughly enjoyed reading the bible and Christian books. She was a member of the Grace Tabernacle of Praise and would attend whenever she was able.

Survivors include her daughters, Charlotte Yerkes and husband Carl, LaDonna Cantrell and husband Ken all of Ponca City, siblings: Lena Tramel, Don Womack and wife Margaret, June Webb and husband Jim, Doyle Womack and wife Marsha, all of Norman, Oklahoma,

grandchildren: Kevin Yerkes and wife Charissa of Owasso, Oklahoma, Brian Yerkes and wife Kristen of Austin, Texas, great grandchildren: Alexcia and Kamryn Yerkes, of Owasso, Oklahoma, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, brothers: S.D. Womack, Iman Womack, Buck Womack, Doyce Womack, and sister, Norma Hustead.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
