He was born Dec. 3, 1942, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Lloyd and Mary Robertson Woods. He married Shirley Charles on Sept. 9, 1968, in Eugene.
Woods served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1965 to 1967. He worked for 25 years as a machinist for Weyerhaeuser and 10 years for Cascade Planing.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Scott; a daughter, Wendy Woods; two sisters, Nancy Caudle and Denise Conner; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Springfield Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. Remembrances to the American Cancer Society.
