Dr. Jack E. Birge, age 86, of Villa Rica, GA passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015.
Dr. Birge was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 18, 1929, the son of the late Edwin A. Birge and Wanda Perry Birge. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Midway Church. Dr. Birge was a retired physician where he practice medicine in Carrollton and neighboring cities.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara R. Birge; sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin and Barbara Birge of LaGrange, Jack W. Birge and Dawn Lynch of Carrollton, Connie Birge of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and John Rowell of Leesburg, VA; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Marion Gilbert of Macon; grandchildren, Kim McNabb, Jeremy Kite, Brittany Birge, Anna Jean Birge, William Birge, Jessi Rowell and McKenzie Rowell; great grandchildren, Tristen Birge, Beckett and Jackson Kite. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Greg Birge.
The family will receive friends at Almon Funeral Home on Friday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Almon Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Phillips, Dr. Taylor Gordon and Mr. Sebastian Mason officiating.
Interment will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
