Evelyn S. Babcock, a lifelong resident of French Creek, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 18, 2015.

Evelyn and her twin sister, Helen, were born Jan. 25, 1927, to Mahlon "Shorty" and Sarah Josephine "Jo" Sweet. "Jo" was a wonderful piano player and as the twins were growing up on the family farm, she taught them to sing. The "Sweet Twins" sang at many events through the years including a War Bond Rally during WW II at the Warner Theater in Erie, Pa.
