Mark A. Lampe, 62, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by family. Born Feb.21, 1952 in Spearville, KS to Henry and Margaret Lampe. He married Cindy Chamberlain August 4, 1986, in Dodge City, KS. They married August 5, 2002 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Offerle, KS. Mark started driving a truck in 1971 and the couple managed their own trucking company, Lampe Trucking until 2004. He also drove for several other companies. He served as Mayor of Offerle and was employed by Maintenance in The City of Offerle.
Mark is survived by his wife, Cindy Lampe; sons David and Jason Lampe and Jay Chamberlain, daughter, Angie Smith, 12 grandchildren, brothers Frank Lampe and John Matthews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Margaret Lampe, daughter, Sheila Marie Lampe. Brothers; Cleve and Doral Matthews; Linus and Joe Lampe and sister Mary Lois Sullivan.
Services will be held Thursday,Feb. 19 at 10 am at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Offerle, KS with Father John Strausser officiating. Burial will be at the Old St. Josephs cemetery, Offerle.
Memorials suggested to KU Cancer Research Hospital and Hospice of the Prairie, Dodge City, in care of the funeral home.
