Mrs. Carey Y. Blume, 88, of 2048 Liberty Church Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 1996, at her residence.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with the Rev. James Bland officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Blume, a native of Aiken County, had lived in Augusta for 50 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Bayvale Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Wyman B. Simmons, Augusta; two daughters, Betty Cook, Hephzibah, and Essie S. Kaney, Belvedere; and several grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Roscoe Cook, Lamar Simmons, Guy Quinn, John Teasley, James Cook, Kenneth Smith and Loren Quinn.

Memorials may be made to Bayvale Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
