MOSS, Mrs. Sarah Gamble, age 76, of Dayton, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 10, 2015.
Sarah, affectionately known as “Sister”, was the oldest of 9 children, born to Gus Dean and Sarah Harris in Laverne, Alabama. Sister moved to Dayton, OH in 1970 and was then united in marriage to Mr. Charles Moss. She was a faithful member of St. Matthew Baptist Church and a former member of the Eastern Stars, Daughters of Isis. Sister was a devoted daughter, wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gus Dean and (1) brother, Jonathan Folmer. She leaves to cherish her memory; her mother, Sarah Harris, her (4) children, Timothy Dean (Shannon), James Dean (Annette), Larry Dean, and Subrina Gamble (Burdell), all of Dayton OH; (4) sisters, (4) brothers, (14) grandchildren, (6) great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., FRIDAY, February 20, 2015 at THOMAS FUNERAL HOME, 4520 Salem Ave., with Reverend Gloria Edwards, officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment: Jeffersonview Cemetery.
