Chester Ander Arnold, 935 E. Washington, died Monday, 15 Jul 1985, in McCuistion Regional Medical Center.

Services were held at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday, 17 Jul, with Dr. Raymond Armstrong officiating. Burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery.

He was born 11 May 1900, in the Mount Olive community, a son of Martin Luther Arnold and Becky Bond Arnold.

He married Mary Frances McKinney on 24 Dec 1925, in Biardstown.

He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was in the Furniture business and was employed by Texas Furniture Store for many years. He was a musician for the USO in Paris and Hugo, Okla., during World War II.

Surviving are his wife Mary; one son, Howard Ross Arnold of Grand Prairie; two grandchildren, Ginger Sherwood of Sumner and Jimmy Wayne Arnold of Mesquite; five great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Roy (Monia) Long of Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
